Does this sound familiar?

Your child seems capable, but the grades aren't showing it.

More classes, more hours, same result.

You don't know what's actually getting in the way.

Most tuition centres add more hours. We find out why the hours aren't working.

How we fix it

The step-by-step approach that helps 2 in 3 of our students see distinctions.

1

Diagnosis

Most centres start teaching immediately. If your child is getting a C6, they assume the problem is Chemistry — and drill more Chemistry. But it's often something else entirely. We find that out before we teach anything. Then build a plan around what we find, not a standard syllabus.

2

Personal Tracking

In a class of fifteen, a tutor teaches and moves on. There's no way to know if your child understood it or just stayed quiet. At HYCO, classes are capped at six. Your child's tutor tracks grades, homework, and progress every lesson. You won't have to wait for the final exam to find out if it's working.

3

Continuous Assessment

Teaching and learning are not the same thing. A student can follow every step of a lesson and still blank under exam conditions. Every session, tutors check for understanding by making the student apply the concept — not just asking if they get it. If it doesn't stick, we go back. If it does, we raise the difficulty.

The team behind your results

chemistry tutor image

Nick

Founder · Chemistry

A Berkeley scholar with a background in nutraceuticals and biochemistry. Nick has spent 6 years in the classroom and built the HYCO curriculum from the ground up — designed specifically to turn passive students into independent ones.

physics tutor image

Kah Meng

Teacher · Physics

A former Physics HOD with a PhD in Materials Science and over 10 years in the classroom. Kah Meng helps students see how concepts connect across the syllabus, until Physics stops feeling like isolated facts and starts making sense as a whole.

biology tutor image

Thomas

Teacher · Biology

With a background in nutraceuticals and a 7-point O-Level aggregate, Thomas knows this syllabus inside out. He teaches Biology by breaking down complex processes into clear, logical steps that students can reproduce under exam conditions.

When and where are classes held?

In-person classes are held at our Beauty World outlet at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre We follow a term schedule with an average of one lesson per week. Full schedules are shared upon enrolment.

How much does it cost?

Group classes are $95 per lesson for upper secondary and $80 a lesson for lower secondary. Start with a free trial with no commitment required, so your child can experience the class before you decide

What is the duration of each class?

Upper secondary classes are 2 hours long, and lower secondary classes are 1.5 hours long.

What resources does my child get access to?

Every student gets in-house notes written by our tutors and unlimited question sets targeted specifically at their weak areas. We track each student individually so they spend time on what actually needs work, not drilling topics they already know. The result is more progress in less time.
